Partnering for Broadband Network Expansion

Our goal is simple: keep our customers connected - always - and deliver reliable, gig-speed internet to as many Americans as possible. Nationally over the past five years and across our service area, Comcast has:

$20B

Invested $20 billion to evolve and grow our network

15M

Deployed multi-gig speed service to 15 million homes and businesses

4X

Quadrupled overall network capacity

2X

Doubled our fiber miles

A great experience regardless of the wire

A key advantage of our network is that, regardless of the type of wire that connects the home, we can deliver a reliable, ultra-fast, and secure connection to our residential and business customers today and scale it for the needs of tomorrow.

Over our fiber-rich network we use both fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and hybrid fiber coax (HFC) technologies to deliver data to customers. Whether it’s our existing HFC or new FTTH, we’re building a single, brilliant network—one capable of unprecedented real time visibility, that leverages AI/ML, that can fix problems before customers are even aware—which is universal, running off the same cutting-edge architecture and innovation no matter what wire runs to a customer’s home or business.

A trusted partner for your community’s broadband connection needs

Experience connecting those who need it the most

Around the country, state and local officials are partnering with Comcast to deliver broadband internet to homes and businesses in their communities.

Our partnership with Comcast – the first of its kind in Cumberland County and New Jersey – will allow us to extend network access quickly and in a cost-effective way to our constituents. We are proud to set this example and provide a model for other rural towns to fill broadband deployment gaps in their communities.

We’re in neighborhoods expanding access and improving connectivity, in our operations centers performing health checks to pinpoint potential issues, and across the country monitoring for privacy and security attacks.

Comcast has the experience and resources to rebuild quickly if a natural disaster does significant damage

We have employees across the company ready to be deployed to help local communities during severe weather, power outages and more. Our teams go out into the field as soon as it is safe to work to get our customers connected as quickly as possible.
